A death’s-head hawkmoth made from MRI images of my brain after receiving a suspected multiple sclerosis diagnosis – an illness, I had always extreme and obsessive fear of. The moth was created for a project named Glücksfalter (butterflies of happiness) in Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig – Center of Digital Art. Although the moth contrasts with the kitschy idea of happiness and butterflies, my private joy is hidden in it – the results of repeated MRI and other examinations did not confirm the suspected diagnosis.
